Parents are required to attend three preparatory classes and the godparents must attend the third class.Baptisms are held every other month on the third Sunday of the month during the Sunday, 10:00 a.m. Mass. For more information, please call the church office: (504) 945-3186.
Penance (Confessions)
The sacrament of Penance (Confessions) is offered one half hour before each Mass, by appointment or during visits to the homebound and hospitalized.
Confirmation
Confirmation classes are held for High School students grades 9th - 11th following the guidelines of the Archdiocese of New Orleans. These classes are usually held on Wednesday nights. For more information, please call the church office: (504) 945-3186.
Marriage
Marriage preparation is available by appointment and must be made six months before celebration of the Sacrament of Marriage. For more information, call the church office: (504) 945-3186. Weddings are usually celebrated on Saturdays.
Anointing of the Sick and Hospital Visits / Holy Communion
Hospital visits are made for those requesting it and the sacrament of anointing of the sick is available for those hospitalized and homebound. Holy Communion is delivered by Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion to those homebound and hospitalized when they request it. Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults
An open invitation from St. Mary of the Angels Parish if you are:
A non-baptized adult
Baptized in another Christian Church and are interested in knowing more about the Catholic Church, with or without the intention of becoming a member
A baptized Catholic who never received Confirmation, or Reconciliation or Eucharist
Interested in knowing more about the Catholic Church with or without the intention of becoming a member
A baptized Catholic adult who wants to know more about the Church
